Thanks to all of you who participated in Around the Literary Twin Cities in (Almost) 80 Days! The passports are in, and we’ve begun the task of sorting through them to find the one with the most stamps–we’re looking forwarded to awarding our grand prize to one diligent scavenger hunter! If you forgot to turn in your passport to Magers and Quinn or Micawber’s and you would still like to be in the running for prizes, please send it to: Coffee House Press, 79 Thirteenth Avenue NE, Suite 110, Minneapolis, MN 55413. Passports must be received by January 15th to be eligible. The winners of the prizes will be announced by the end of this month.

Finally, we’re very happy to announce that we’ll be capping off the scavenger hunt with an exciting event on January 26th at the beautiful Central Library in downtown Minneapolis. In this special edition of Talk of the Stacks moderated by Minnesota Public Radio’s Marianne Combs, executive directors from the four organizations will discuss why so many nationally-recognized literary organizations have thrived here, tell tales of the literary life, and share their vision of what readers and writers can expect in the days ahead. Together the executive directors have over 102 years of experience in various literary arenas, so this should be a lively and enlightening conversation.

The program begins at 7pm, and doors open at 6:15pm. This is a free event–so grab your friends and neighbors and come on down!

Many thanks to the Private Client Reserve at U.S. Bank for sponsoring the event, and thank you to Marquette Hotel, Secrets of the City, and Magers and Quinn Booksellers for additional support.Visit the Library Foundation for more information.

And thank YOU for making this such a wonderful place for the literary arts!
